Update of Mad’s travel adventures Feb 2022

It all started when…

As you know, I traveled to Victoria in January to visit family. This went well and I returned on 5th Feb to commence 7 days quarantine. Unfortunately, my housemate who also returned on 5th Feb subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. She is fine! Very mild symptoms.

This makes me a close contact and has extended my self isolation to finish on Monday night 14th Feb at the earliest, pending when my last negative PCR result is returned. So far I have tested negative on daily PCR tests, have no symptoms and we are completely separated in our home.

This leaves us with two scenarios for next week/
a) I will return to work on Tuesday and reschedule patients as best I can throughout next week.
b) worse case scenario is that I test positive between today and Monday. This will extend my quarantine for another 7 days and will return to work on Feb 22nd.

I will be in touch on Monday night regardless to update you on the situation.
